Mr. Rise is, along with Mr. Scura, a founding partner of SRP. Prior to SRP, Mr. Rise was Managing Director and Group Head of the Financial Services Group at Prudential Securities Incorporated from 1996 to 2000. Prudential Securities’ Financial Services Group (FSG) was an integral platform focused on serving the investment banking needs of financial institutions. FSG consisted of a financial institutions industry group and asset backed securities, collateralized debt obligations and debt originations product groups. Mr. Rise created the Financial Services Group in early 1996 and was responsible for growing the business from approximately $15 million in annual revenue to over $100 million over a five year period. FSG represented clients in financings which generated over $100 billion in gross proceeds and encompassed virtually every form of security or advisory assignment during this five year period. Mr. Rise served on many of Prudential Securities’ governance and management committees, including the Operating Council, the Investment Banking and Fixed Income Business Review Committee and the Investment Committees for Roman Arch I and II. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Rise managed Prudential Securities’ Private Placement Group. From 1987 to 1992, he was an Associate and a Vice President in the firm’s High Yield and Private Placement Groups. Mr. Rise received his M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and a B.S. degree in Commerce from the McIntyre School of Commerce the University of Virginia in 1982.
