
Mr. Thomas is a partner at SRP and the Managing Partner of Eglington Partners. Over his twenty year professional career, Mr. Thomas has held a series of positions in banking, trading, and asset management at a broad range of the financial services firms including Citigroup, State Street Global Advisors, Nomura Securities International and General Electric in New York, Boston and Tokyo, Japan. At CapRio Management LLC, Mr. Thomas was responsible for the firm’s private equity investing and for the management of portfolio investments. At Instinet, Mr. Thomas was Head of International
Equities - North America, managing a team that handled all outbound global trading for North America based clients.Mr. Thomas worked at
Citigroup for several years, first as a member of Citigroup Global
Markets' Strategic Business Investments Group in New York. At
Citigroup, Mr. Thomas was responsible for the creation of JapanCross
Securities, a joint venture between Citigroup and Instinet which he
led from concept to fully operational broker dealer, based in Tokyo,
Japan. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
JapanCross. Upon returning to the U.S., Mr. Thomas was appointed Head
of Strategy and Business Development of Citigroup Alternative
Investments (CAI). He was a member of CAI’s Management Committee and
helped create Citigroup's Sustainable Development Investment (SDI)
fund, serving as a voting member of the original investment committee.
At State Street Global Advisors, Mr. Thomas was an active quantitative
equity portfolio manager, focused on Asian equities. At Nomura
Securities International, New York, Mr. Thomas performed a dual role,
both as a front line revenue producer in Equity Derivatives and as a
head of systems development & architecture for the Equity Division.
Prior to Wall Street, Mr. Thomas worked as a member of GE Capital
Commercial Real Estate’s Portfolio Acquisition and Business Ventures
Group, established in 1992 to evaluate and purchase real estate
portfolios and loans secured by real estate from the Resolution Trust
Corporation (RTC). Mr. Thomas has also served as a member of GE's
Corporate Audit Staff.
Mr. Thomas received an B.A. degree in Economics from Duke University
and an M.B.A. degree in Finance and Quantitative Methods from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a graduate of
St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. He sits on the board of directors
of several hedge funds and on the board of FlexPaths, LLC, a privately
held company.
